Cumbria Rugby nominated Trevor for the award to mark his exceptional contribution to rugby over a number of years, creating a lasting legacy.

Martin Relph, our Chairman said "Trevor joined the club in the seventies when he came to Keswick School as a border. For years he was an enthusiastic, popular player, loving the camaraderie of his team mates and fully enjoying the social side of the game. Never one to miss a tour - he was the man to start the singing – plus he knew all the words. Once his playing days were behind him, he did not walk away, but was keen to be involved in the day to day running of our club and worked his way through many roles, latterly holding the office of President. Whether doing matchday duties, or behind the scenes working on admin, we knew we could rely on Trevor’s diligence to do the job.
His love and enthusiasm for the game has not waivered over the years as he became a stalwart of our club helping to grow and maintain the success of KRFC. He has been instrumental in getting us to the most exciting stage in the club’s recent history, as we embark on building our new clubhouse. Well done Trevor, you deserve this award!"

Trevor received his award at a luncheon at Twickenham which included a stadium tour and tickets to see England v New Zealand match. He was accompanied by his son James Keough and they had a most enjoyable day catching up with friends old and new.
